The Zimbabwe Multi-Sectoral Accountability Framework for TB (MAF-TB) was launched on the 17th of January 2023 to confront the persistent public health challenges posed by tuberculosis (TB). The launch event highlighted the strength of collaboration, bringing together leaders from government ministries, parastatals, the private sector, the UN family, funding organizations, traditional leaders, civil society, the media, Parliamentarians, TB champions, and TB survivors. These diverse stakeholders gathered to celebrate the beginning of a new journey in Zimbabwe’s TB response.
Developed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the MAF-TB framework has been adopted by 11 countries worldwide. It encourages collaborative efforts to address the determinants of TB, enhance accountability, and strengthen political will, creating a united front against the TB disease.
